Sorry we have not posted for a while, but things have been very hectic in the party business!

Decorating your party is one of the most important aspects of your party. You can invite your closest friends and relations and they can create a good atmosphere obviously. But you need to get them into the party spirit. If they have had a bad day at work, they might not feel like celebrating too much. So, by decorating your party space, they won’t feel gloomy or depressed and it will bring a smile to their faces!

What do we recommend? Obviously, everyone is worried out money so the cheap and cheerful decorations are ideal. There are plenty of shops you can spend a few pounds but unfortunately they look pretty dreadful!

We would recommend sticking to a party theme or colour. Themes are big business and you can get almost anything! If you are very clever most of the decorations you purchase can be reused again and again. Crepe Paper Streamers are the obvious starting place. They are indeed cheap but they bring a lot of colour and decoration for a very small price. Going up in the world, coloured foil stars are also a good bet. They can be reused and look good as well. Cardboard cutouts of your favourite star, scene setters, red carpet, fancy dress, it is all possible!

Party balloons are also very important. You don’t need to call in the professionals to create a good look. If you are a TV soap fan, it is amazing that the Queen Vic on Eastenders don’t have their own party decorator on hand. It seems every week they have their helium filled balloons in place ready and waiting for the next celebration! Remember helium makes balloons float. We stock helium canisters that are pretty useful to have at hand if you are always in the mood for parties! Birthdays, halloween, christmas – they will always come in handy! Fill a balloon with helium, stick a balloon weight on the end with a bit of curling ribbon and you have some magnificent decorations! Please note, supermarket balloons cannot be filled with helium. It is the colour that will make all the difference. Pink for females, blue and greens for males, silver for weddings and anniversaries. Do you get the drift? Easy when you know how! Use the persons favorite colours for best effect! One pack of balloons can go an awful long way! Don’t over do it, but with a bit of thought, decorations can go an awful long way.

Okay, so 31st October seems a long way off when it is still hot and sunny outside. Getting in early can save you time and money. Many retailers do not restock for yearly events, so once the goods have gone, that is it until next year. Halloween is becoming a lot like Christmas, it gets earlier every year!

Here at the Party Kiosk we are now in the throws of Halloween with stock arriving and going out all the time. Our Halloween Props, Decorations and Balloons is being added to all the time, with halloween themed balloons and plenty of gory items to get those juices flowing! Suprising how such meek and mild people just love blood and guts!

It may be sunnyish August still, but Halloween is the next major event in the party calendar. The Horror Party Shop has just taken stock of some fabulous Ghoulish Productions Face Masks. There are far too many to talk about in detail so we have picked out our favs for the season!

Viktor The Vampire is a good plain scary mask. It covers the chest as well. All designed for adults and mostly for males – a lady would not be so stupid, would she? Viktor has a good set of fangs.

One of my particular favourites is the Slave Horror Mask. Love the chain coming from his tongue! Many tortured males could wear this quite happily! He has only one eye and some lovely scabs. Another excellent quality mask – great for theatre productions as well as parties. Designed to be worn again and again.

A top quality mask is our Snow Wolf Mask. This is one that will make heads turn. Would look fantastic for a stage show, but you could be centre stage by wearing this on 31st October!

Here at the Party Kiosk we have recently added a new range of birthday cake decorations. Many are of a sporting theme but there are plenty more besides. Now to take a look at our favourites.

There are plenty of cricket lovers out there, and what could be better (other than actually winning the Ashes) than to have a cricket player cake decoration on top of their birthday cake! He is an action packed chappie, so probably doesn’t play for England at the present time!

Another great little chap is the Golfer Cake Decoration. Taking a good swing, he knows how to play the game!

There are plenty more including a Bowls Player, Tennis Player (Andy Murray supporters a must), Swimmer, and of course Footballer. All these decorations are made from resin and come complete with a silver Happy Birthday motto to place on top of the cake.

Besides the sporting theme, we have added the Happy Birthday mottos and a fantastic little Mobile Phone Decoration. Certainly apt for many of a certain age!

It is all very well celebrating milestone birthdays like 18th, 21st, 40th etc, but every birthday we have should be a celebration!  We should be able to dress up ourselves and our houses with party decorations for every birthday.  So, going along these lines we would like to show you what we can offer you for ANY age happy birthday celebration!

Throw a party and use are Happy Birthday Paper Plates.  These are in bright green and look great!  The matching hats were recently on Eastenders – one gets to be able to spot these things eventually!  No need to go overboard, plain coloured partyware is cheaper and just as good.  Make it as bright as possible for the best effect.

Here at the Party Kiosk we are always looking for new designs in party supplies to make your party extra special.  We have now added the new Barnyard Animals Theme Party Supplies to our website which is well worth a look at.  It is aimed at children under 5 years of age.  Great design showing animals in a barn having a party.  The animals include pig, spotty cow, sheep and ducks.  Vivid colours which kids just love.  If you wanted to use with plain coloured tableware we would recommend yellow, red or bright blue. 

We just love the Barnyard Shaped paper plates.  They come in the shape of a barn and are really too good to put food on!  Personally sticking them on the wall would be better.  Sausage rolls and crisps would spoil the look of them!  But children will certainly eat all their food just to see what is beneath!

Here at the Party Kiosk we have just added some great new tablecloths for your party or special event.  These are on the upper end of the market and are ideal for Weddings or any occasion you want to make an impression.  Not the run of the mill plastic tablecloths, we have just added Ivory Rectangular Paper Tablecloths which have a plastic lining.  The tablecloths themselves are similar to 2ply napkins so they are very soft and the lining is great for table protection.  These are also available in pink, black, white and red, with more colours to appear very soon.

My favourite tablecloths are the Pink Round Opalescent Tablecloths which glisten in the light.  Being pink, they are a favourite for girl’s birthdays, hen nights and weddings.  Great quality and they look fabulous!  They are also available in the rectangular version.

One other kind of tablecloth we have added is the new range of round paper variety with a plastic lining.  They have a raised embossed design over them and are unusual.  Available in many colours including Gold Round Paper Tablecloth, as well as Black, White, Red and Pink (they will all be available by next weekend).  These are 2ply paper and have a plastic lining as well to protect your tables.  Great again for Weddings.  Great size at 82 inches as well.  Well worth a look.  They only come in round.  Rectangular are either the soft plain tissue variety or the plastic.
